Beldex, a privacy-focused blockchain ecosystem, has announced the establishment of the Beldex Grants Program, launching a dedicated fund totaling $1 million to support the development of privacy-preserving applications, tools, and infrastructure.

The program will operate as a long-term initiative with a flexible funding cycle. Developers worldwide can apply based on their project's actual development progress, without being constrained by fixed deadlines.
The Beldex Grants Program was officially unveiled during Korea Blockchain Week 2026 in Seoul. The program is open to developers and teams globally, with a focus on supporting privacy-preserving applications, development tools, and infrastructure.
Beldex has long focused on independently building privacy infrastructure and applications, including BChat, BelNet, BNS, and Beldex Browser. The launch of the grants program marks the next phase of the Beldex ecosystem's development: further opening its existing infrastructure to external developers and fostering a broader ecosystem of privacy applications, integrations, and development tools.
Cris Blanco, Chief Strategy Officer of Beldex, said: "Over the past few years, Beldex has been continuously building privacy infrastructure and related products. In the next phase, we want to open up this foundational capability to more developers, so that the ecosystem's growth is no longer limited to what Beldex itself can build. We don't believe that the most important privacy applications of the future will all be born within a single organization. The purpose of the Beldex Grants Program is to provide developers with infrastructure, technical support, and funding to help them take their ideas from the conceptual stage to actual product deployment."
The $1 million in grant funding will not be pre-divided into fixed amounts. The specific grant size for each project will be evaluated individually based on the scope of the application and the complexity of the required deliverables.
The program primarily accepts applications for the following three categories of projects:
Privacy-Preserving Applications
Privacy applications for consumers and enterprises, including but not limited to private payments, identity management, communications, network connectivity, and other use cases centered on privacy protection.
Infrastructure, Research & Tooling
This includes core protocol contributions, developer tools, SDK feature enhancements, privacy middleware, and related research that helps advance the Beldex privacy technology stack.
Integration & Interoperability
This includes projects such as system integrations, wallet extensions, and interoperability layers designed to connect external applications and external ecosystems with Beldex infrastructure.
All applications will be evaluated based on five independent criteria, including: the innovativeness of the privacy architecture, technical feasibility, potential ecosystem impact, compliance with security standards, and whether project milestones are clear and well-defined. To improve the efficiency of fund utilization and ensure continuous project progress, grant funds will not be disbursed in a lump sum. Instead, they will be released in phases according to project progress after specific deliverables have been verified.
Depending on the type of project, the milestone-based funding mechanism may include the following stages:
Prototype
Complete a working proof-of-concept version and demonstrate the project's core privacy-preserving functionality.
Testing
Complete deployment, integration, and testing in an appropriate testing environment; where applicable, this also includes relevant testing on the Beldex testnet.
Mainnet / Production
Where applicable, complete mainnet launch or deployment in a formal production environment.
Beldex Chairman Afanddy Bin Hushni said: "We do not want to disburse a lump sum of funding and then simply hope the project can be completed successfully. Our grants will be tied to clear, verifiable milestones, so that a project's ambition matches its actual delivery capability. Our goal is simple: to help excellent teams turn promising ideas into technology products that users can actually use."
The program will also provide direct technical integration support for selected projects. Funded teams will be able to use Beldex's software development kit (SDK), detailed wallet extension integration guides, and receive priority technical support from core code repository maintainers via GitHub. This support mechanism is designed to reduce the engineering development costs developers face when integrating privacy technologies such as Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) and Ring Signatures into customized applications.
Project applications will be submitted through the official Beldex application portal. The portal will go live in conjunction with the project launch at Korea Blockchain Week. Unlike traditional hackathons or fixed-batch programs, the Beldex Grants Program will adopt a long-term rolling application mechanism, allowing development teams to submit applications once their projects truly reach a funding-ready stage, without being constrained by a unified application deadline.
As long as grant funds remain available and approved projects continue to meet the program's standards in terms of technical capability and delivery, Beldex will continue to disburse the relevant grants.
About Beldex
Beldex is a decentralized ecosystem centered on privacy protection, dedicated to building privacy-first internet infrastructure.
Beldex combines blockchain technology with privacy-preserving cryptography to help protect users' data, transaction information, communications, and online activities. Among its offerings, BChat is a private instant messaging application; BelNet provides decentralized network routing services; Beldex Browser is designed for private web access scenarios; and Beldex has also launched BNS, a decentralized naming system that can be used to register and manage blockchain-based names.
Within the Beldex network, users can participate in maintaining network security by staking tokens. The network operates on a Masternode system and a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism. The Beldex ecosystem uses its privacy digital currency BDX as a key asset driving the operation of the entire ecosystem.
At the same time, Beldex is continuously developing and exploring multiple cutting-edge blockchain technologies, including zero-knowledge systems, quantum-resistant cryptography, privacy tokens, privacy-first EVMs, and other advanced privacy-enhancing technologies, hoping to create a more secure digital environment that also gives users greater autonomous control.
