Recently, Matrixdock, the RWA tokenization platform under BIT (formerly Matrixport), completed its fourth consecutive semi-annual independent reserve audit. The audit was conducted by the international inspection and certification agency Bureau Veritas, which continues to perform independent reserve verification. For the first time, the tokenized silver product XAGm was included in the audit scope. The audit covered a total of 574 gold and silver bars from LBMA (London Bullion Market Association)-accredited refineries, stored in three institutional-grade vaults in Singapore and Hong Kong.




Compared to a one-time audit result, two years of independent verification also indicate that reserve transparency is evolving from one-time asset proof to a mechanism of ongoing transparency.


From One-Time Verification to an Ongoing Transparency Mechanism


In the traditional financial markets, whether it is an ETF, a fund, or custodied assets, market trust is not built on a one-time audit but relies on continuous information disclosure, third-party verification, and long-term operational mechanisms. For financial products, market trust stems more from a continuous, stable transparency mechanism rather than a one-time validation result.


As RWAs begin to take on more DeFi functions, this ongoing transparency mechanism is gradually becoming an industry foundational capability rather than just a compliance requirement.


According to the information released by Matrixdock, this is the platform's fourth consecutive completion of a semi-annual independent reserve audit and the second consecutive year that Bureau Veritas has conducted independent reserve verification. This means that Matrixdock has maintained a consistent and continuous independent reserve verification mechanism for two consecutive years.


Compared to one-time asset verification, continuous validation by the same international third-party organization not only helps maintain consistency in the verification standards, but also means that reserve assets can undergo long-term tracking under a unified methodology. For the financial market, what matters is not the audit result at a specific point in time, but whether the verification mechanism can operate continuously and stably. For Matrixdock, reserve transparency does not come from a single audit, but is continuously established during operation. The independent validation for two consecutive years is a manifestation of this continuous transparency mechanism.


In this audit, Bureau Veritas conducted a physical verification of all metal bars in the three institutional-grade vaults, including weighing, dimension measurement, and item-by-item reconciliation with vault records. The audit results show that the underlying gold reserves of XAUm are consistent with the circulating token quantity; after applying the corresponding ozPerToken value, the reserve assets of XAGm also match the circulating token quantity, with no discrepancies found.


At the same time, XAGm was audited for the first time in an independent reserve audit, which also means that the same set of reserve verification standards is starting to cover more tokenized precious metal products, rather than being limited to a single asset.


Transparency, Not Just Proving Asset Existence


If past reserve transparency mostly meant "proving the actual existence of assets," then as RWAs enter the era of on-chain finance, it begins to take on another more important role—continuously supporting market trust.


In addition to the biannual independent reserve verification, Matrixdock currently also provides ongoing monthly reserve reports, on-chain proof of reserves, and Gold Allocation Lookup, among other transparency mechanisms, to offer the market continuously updated reserve information, rather than relying solely on periodic audit results.

For institutions, assets not only need to undergo tokenization but also require the ability for continuous validation, disclosure, and operation.


According to information released by Matrixdock, continuous reserve validation helps tokenized assets further penetrate lending, institutional fund management, and various on-chain financial scenarios. From this perspective, the transparency of the reserve now supports not just a single product but the trust foundation necessary for assets to enter the on-chain financial system.
